UXO Found During Construction

We assist construction projects during the planning, Front End Engineering (FEED) and construction phases with the management of Unexploded Ordnance (UXO) risks.  TRL is able to conduct preemptive UXO Desktop Studies (IMAS Non-Technical Survey) which will identify potential Explosive Ordnance (EO) threats at a stage where the risk management can be factored into the Project Plan, reducing the risk of schedule and budget overruns.

Subsea Activities

The UXO threat to offshore and subsea construction arise from naval training and combat activity, as well as dumping of ammunition at sea.

Threat Resolution Ltd  is experienced in supporting various types of offshore and subsea activities where Explosives Remnants of War (ERW) and UXO risks may be encountered. These activities include dredging, salvage,  wreck removal, disinvestment tasks as well as cable and pipeline laying.

Oil & Gas Industry

The O&G industry is perhaps at the highest risk of Unexploded Ordnance (UXO) encounter due the the vast scale of the industry and also that exploitation and transportation footprints often coincide with areas of former military ownership or combat activity.

TRL provides independent Client Representatives services to third-party UXO Risk Mitigation projects.

We can also provide a full Quality Assurance and Quality Control (QA/QC) services for UXO/EO Survey and Clearance for third-party UXO Risk Management projects.
